David Carson: Design and Discovery

In the TED talk David Carson: Design and Discovery David Carson talks about the emotion of typography and how just words can convey a certain feeling or emotion. The following is one of the examples he cites, two identical garage doors painted differently:

David Carson says about these garage doors, "Now which one is the Psycho killer?" This comparison struck me by showing the real power that typography can have in the world. The color or shape of the garage door did not change, just the typography completely changed the connotation and emotion that the words "no parking" conveyed.
I think this photo best conveys the message Carson was trying to convey about how typography and design affects the world and the power designers have to set the tone in the world today.
